TIPS TO ORGANIZE EVERYTHING & CLUTTER CONTROL
Kitchen Organize Tips
Your goal for an organized kitchen will most likely take
more than one hour. By breaking up sections into one hour
segments, you should be able to have a completely
organized kitchen in a few days.
Pick an area and get started:
Empty all drawers and sort contents. Get rid of anything
that doesn’t belong in a kitchen.
Spatulas, potholders, etc. should
be in a drawer nearest to the stove or cooking area. If you
have four spatulas and use only the same two, get rid of
two. This also applies for other unnecessary duplicate
items in your kitchen.
Silverware needs its own drawer. Plastic silverware
dividers can be purchased to keep knives, forks and spoons
separated and easy to find.
Empty all cupboards and drawers. Wipe clean. To stay
with your one hour a day, you may want to organize upper
cupboards one day, lower cupboards another day and save
the drawers and counter tops until last.
Sort into piles of used everyday items, occasionally used, never
used, and absolutely-doesn’t-belong-in-a-kitchen.
Only the used everyday and the occasionally used piles
will go back into the cupboards.
The never-used pile should be sorted into garage sale,
give away or throw-it-out boxes or bags. The absolutely-doesn’t-belong-in-the-kitchen pile should
find a new home in another room or end up in one of the never used piles.
